Discover The MOVALT Plan
The Government, through the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDEA), has developed the MOVALT plan, with aid for the purchase of alternative and efficient energy vehicles.
It is important to reduce CO2 emissions and pollutants that damage the air and acoustic quality of cities. It is estimated that an annual energy saving of 2.9 ktoe / year will be achieved; and also a reduction in CO 2 emissions of 9.5 ktCO 2 / year, taking into account all types of engines.
Scope of MOVALT application
To meet the planned objectives, the MOVALT plan is valid until June 30, 2018. It is designed to offer a significant government grant, and dealership bonuses for the purchase of new vehicles or used cars up to 9 months old.
This program is intended for individuals, self-employed professionals, local entities, Autonomous Communities and public entities dependent on the State. Private companies SMEs may also be present.
The vehicles included in this plan are electric vehicles, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG / Autogas), compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied (LNG), fuel cell-powered vehicles and electric motorcycles.
It should be noted that, in order to have the benefits of the plan, the purchase and enrollment operation must be carried out after the submission of the aid application.
Data and financial aid
The amount of aid varies between 500 and 18,000 euros, depending on the type of vehicle. The beneficiaries may be individuals and freelancers, companies and public and private entities.
The MOVALT plan provides greater assistance for acquiring electric and extended-range cars. The aid for the purchase of one of these cars is 5,500 euros, and in these cases the aid of 1,000 euros provided by the dealer will be used to install a charging point.
The charging points can be installed in a community garage. The maximum rate price of an electric car to be in the scope of this plan is 38,720 euros; this price is valid for the peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
In the case of hybrid cars, the maximum price is equal to that of electric cars, but the applicable discount will depend on the autonomy of the same. The greater the autonomy of the vehicle to be purchased, the greater the discount that will be received.
Types of fuels
The cars natural gas may have a maximum price of 38 250 euros to facilitate your choice. State aid in these cases will be 2,500 euros and there will be additional financing of 1,000 euros from the concessionaire.
For this type of vehicle it is convenient to have a good supply of pumps. However, it must be remembered that, if necessary, these cars can also run on gasoline.
In cars that use LPG fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, state aid will depend on the maximum price of the car. Those with a value less than 13,310 euros will have a state subsidy of 500 euros plus 1,000 euros from the dealer.
If the vehicle costs up to a maximum of 30,250 euros, the state aid will be 1,000 euros to which is added 1,000 euros from the dealer.
In Spain, fuel cell or fuel cell models are not yet sold ; but the MOVALT plan contemplates a subsidy of 5,500 euros, plus 1,000 from the concessionaire for the purchase of the same.
Within the Spanish market there are already a good number of dealers adhering to this plan. The list can be consulted online, so that the user can plan the actions to be carried out.
The applications for assistance for the purchase of vehicles will be channeled through the outlets vehicles attached to the Plan MOVALT Vehicles and through electronic management system developed for this purpose.
Documentation to present
Once the budget reservation has been made, the beneficiary will have a period of 130 days to present the digitized documentation. The documentation required according to the applicable regulations, includes:
- Application form duly signed by the beneficiary and dealer and stamped by the dealer
- Identification document (DNI, NIE, NIF)
- Vehicle purchase invoice
- Technical data sheet and driving license of the purchased vehicle
- Certificate of being up to date with your tax obligations
- Certificate of being up to date with your obligations with Social Security.
