This year, the British sports car has added a new engine to the existing one. It is a 4.0-liter 510 hp. Developed by Mercedes-AMG, it has eight vee cylinders and two turbochargers.

Aston Martin claims that these blocks of German origin have been tuned and designed specifically for Aston Martin models. With it, the DB11 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 4 seconds and reaching 301 km / h of top speed. Figures quite close to the powerful V12.

With its 1770 kilograms of weight, the English sports car achieves a balance in curve at the expected height. The chassis manages to keep such power brutality at bay. It also has a very even weight distribution between both axles, thanks to the fact that the engine is located in a more rearward position than usual and the gearbox is housed at the rear to balance the whole.

Not all that glitters in the British luxury home is gold. The first quarter of this year is the first to make a profit after ten endless years of financial loss. Obviously, the lack of renewal of their vehicles and the delays in the new launches take their toll.

The cause of this change in economic trend is none other than the great acceptance that the DB11 has had by the public. The car has fallen in love with the world, and its sales have exploded, taking the company out of the dreaded red.

The price of having it all

A supercar with a design envied by most of its rivals, with luxurious finishes, and dynamic qualities of heart attack, it cannot be cheap. The model with the Mercedes V8 engine is available from € 183,000, and if we opt for the
V12, we go up one notch to € 208,900.

Sales don’t lie, this Aston Martin is a masterpiece, no matter where you look at it. Will it be the resurgence of a legendary brand? Considering what has been seen in the last decade, it seems that English elegance is back in fashion.
