Its dimensions may seem excessive for urban commutes, especially when compared to other models from the lion’s own house, but when it comes to taking long trips on motorways, it is an exemplary car for its comfort and performance.

Diversifying its offer within the automotive D segment, the French flag company maintains the Station Wagon version of its successful saloon on the market. This is the Peugeot 508 SW, a family utility designed for travel.

It excels against strong rivals such as the Opel Insignia or the Volkswagen Passat. Also on this list are the Skoda Superb, Toyota Avensis, Subaru Levorg, Kia Optima SW, Subaru Outback and the Hyundai i40.

Exterior design

The Station Wagon version of the 508 maintains the exterior design line imposed on the latest Peugeot models. On the front, the vertical grille placed on the bumper, crowned by the lion emblem of the house in the middle.

In addition, a Full LED light system (available depending on trim), including daytime running lights and fog lights, reaffirm the car’s bold character.

At the rear, crowning the lower part under the tailgate and the bumper , a dual exhaust system (one at each end) to bring sportiness to a family member that may perhaps look a bit sober.

But the differential value of the Peugeot 508 SW is inside. Specifically in your luggage trunk. 550 liters available, easily usable thanks to the practical and easy access provided by the fifth rear door. Putting in and taking out medium and large suitcases is not a complicated task.

And like the sedan model, passengers in the rear row of seats will travel in comfort.

The options in this section are the same for the saloon. Four-cylinder in-line configuration, with five variants to choose from:

6-liter THP capacity, gasoline, with 165 Horsepower.
6-liter capacity e-HDI, diesel, with 115 Horsepower.
0 liter HDI capacity, diesel, with 140 Horsepower.
0 liters of BlueHDI capacity, with diesel and powers of 150 or 180 CV.

The engines can be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. Also available is the EAT6 model, an efficient automatic transmission developed by Peugeot engineers.

My Peugeot on your Smartphone

Available in the stores of the different mobile device operating systems, is the My Peugeot app. With this software, information regarding the operating status of the Peugeot 508 SW will always be available to its owners.

Likewise, it offers reminders about the dates when routine reviews are due.
