Alfa Romeo 4C, Light, Fast And Italian

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a small and light sports car whose prototype was presented in 2011 and was a great success at the Geneva Motor Show. Its  production is 3,500 units per year.

Design and equipment

The design of the Alfa Romeo 4C has been praised since its introduction, as it is quite striking and has a completely Italian essence, which is a great success for this sports car. In the front, it has the division of the grill in the shape of a ‘V’, characteristic of the brand. The rear offers a fairly curved design, with fully round brake lights.

The launch version called Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition has some headlights that generate controversy, since they are either liked or disliked; They are made of carbon fiber – a plastic base in the conventional version – and  seven  small bulbs are embedded instead of the traditional headlights with their protective glass.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a radical racing car, for occasional sporty driving use.  In fact, it doesn’t even have power steering, so it conveys more information about what’s going on under the front wheels.

Motorization

The Alfa Romeo 4C has a  1.75-liter turbocharged engine and a maximum output of 240 hp, an engine similar to that of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde.

Versions of the Alfa Romeo 4C

The 4C Launch Edition was the first edition launched on the market and there are only 1,000 units in the world. It features specific air intakes in the bumper, 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels, leather seats with body-colored piping, and xenon headlights embedded in a carbon fiber shell.

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

The 4C Spider was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. This is a convertible version that has other different details such as the headlights, which come in their protective glass housing instead of the plastic or carbon fiber finish.

As for its motorization, it remains the same as those of the conventional versions, although  its speed limit could vary due to the extra weight of the car.

Alfa Romeo 4C price

It can be found in a price range of 66,250 to about 79,600 euros, so vehicles like the Porsche 718 Cayman, Porsche 718 Boxster and Alpine A110, rival the Italian; offer a similar level of performance.

This car is a work of art; it has its admirers and it has its critics, but it certainly makes even the most skeptical shudder. We will have to wait to see what surprises Alfa Romeo will have in the future, especially for the wonder of the Alfa Romeo 4C that many of us have delighted
