Cars that women like

The female sector has always had more predilection for some cars than others, and there are brands that look for this type of characteristics in some models to strengthen their sales. The cars that women like all fulfill one virtue: functionality on urban roads.

Most of the sales to women in recent years have been segment cars B and C, compact and utility models that offer that ergonomics and maneuverability that they are looking for so much. However, recently  another type of vehicle has appeared that attracts a lot of attention, and it could not be other than urban SUVs.

Urban favorites women

Among the cars that women like, the best-selling models in the Spanish market could not be absent , since they monopolize the top three positions with the SEAT Ibiza, the Volkswagen Polo and the Dacia Sandero, in that order.

SEAT Ibiza FR

The qualities of this type of vehicle make neither men nor women resist its charms. The SEAT Ibiza is a model that sums up very well the qualities that a woman is looking for: it is a spacious, agile car, easy to park and has a first-rate level of technological equipment.

The cars in this segment, which are normally around four meters in length, are approaching the compact in terms of interior space and trunk, very even. For example, an Ibiza has 355 liters of trunk and a León cubic 380 liters.

Other cars that women like are the Renault Clio and the Toyota Yaris. The first of them plays with a very important asset, a very careful and youthful aesthetic, with a lot of chrome detail and a very well chosen range of colors. The Yaris does the same, but with the Japanese concept, a little smaller and with exquisite handling.

Compact

One of the car models that has achieved the best sales records in recent years is the Renault Megane, and it has achieved this, in part, thanks to the good reception by the female gender.

Renault Megane 2017: front

The success of the French model is unquestionable, and it is understandable when you analyze its qualities step by step, since it meets with a grade in almost all sections. This latest update brings with it a much more daring aesthetic, something that female drivers love.  But it is not only convincing with its pretty face, it has one of the most technological interiors in the segment.

Another of the most successful models in the female sector is the Volkswagen Golf. This German is the compact par excellence, and uses a very different sales strategy than the French, since it maintains a very conservative and low-risk philosophy.

The buyer of a Golf rarely does it mainly for its aesthetics, but because it has an overall balance and quality of workmanship that will hook you from the moment you get on it. Few cars offer such successful driving ease and, for its content size, it boasts a spacious and comfortable interior.

Its compact dimensions and low weight mean it moves around town like a fish in water, with quick and precise direction changes. But don’t let its size mislead you: the Golf is an ideal car for motorways and highways.

Urban SUVs

How could it be otherwise, women have also been promoters of the boom of SUVs in our market, specifically with smaller ones. They are perfect for moving around the city, but with a touch of exclusivity and space superior to the small urban ones.

Renault Captur

The Renault Captur is one of the favorites, with an original and carefree design that has conquered more than one. It’s actually a ‘taller’ Clio, but the end result is much more striking, and that extra height gives it superior interior space and trunk.

Another fireproof in the segment is the Peugeot 2008. This model born in 2013 enjoys a fairly fresh design for its seniority and a peculiar interior due to the distribution of its controls, with the instrument panel above a small steering wheel.

This is a segment that promises to continue giving something to talk about in the motor world and, regardless of whether sales come from the male or female gender, it seems a totally unstoppable trend.
