Land Rover, your companion on the road

If you are looking for the best combination between a good SUV and a good all-terrain, we are sure that Land Rover has crossed your mind. Nobody like the English brand has been able to include so many ideas on the same plate at the same time: good tourism, better off-road and all with an air of very English luxury.

The number of followers of the brand has always been very large, despite the fact that in the 90s they did not stand out for their reliability. Even with that, like good loyalists to the brand, drivers would go back to their Land Rover dealership to buy another.

The English firm knew how to react and little by little its problems with reliability were being forgotten. To the point of acquiring the good reputation they have today.

The ideal moment for the brand

There is something that, without eating or drinking it by Land Rover, has benefited them greatly: their specialty, SUVs and SUVs, have become fashionable. Obviously, they were not going to be left behind, and made the decision to add new models with this profile to cover the largest number of potential customers.

The Range Rover had already had their audience for many years and they had little to prove to their customers. But the time had come to offer something for young families and at a more competitive price. To that end, one of the brand’s great successes appeared in recent years: the Range Rover Evoque.

At 4.37 meters in length, and with a starting price of € 35,100, the Evoque became one of the most desired SUVs. For this reason, it took away many of the sales that, in principle, were destined for the German premium brands .

Such was the acceptance that Land Rover dared with a rather complicated variant to pigeonhole: the Range Rover Evoque Convertible was launched on the market.  A three-door, convertible SUV with four seats and a tiny boot for the size of the car. A whim that starts at € 54,700, no less.

What’s new?

At the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Jaguar-Land Rover alliance has confirmed that in 2020 all its models will have electric versions.

The biggest novelty presented at the German show has been the Land Rover Discovery SVX. The British brand informs that it is a car built in a traditional way and that there will be few units for sale. This greatly increases its exclusivity and raises its resale price.

Land Rover has made this SVX a vehicle with offroad capabilities out of the ordinary. Equipped with a five-liter supercharged V8 engine capable of delivering up to 525 hp of power and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The brand assures that this is the most extreme vehicle they have ever built. Using the platform of the Land Rover Discovery, but in aluminum, which gives it lightness and rigidity.

The suspension has been modified to improve the ground clearance, which gives you better attack, departure and belly data. In addition, it has a hydraulic anti-tip control. This improves the adaptation of the axles to the terrain, making it easier to control the body on difficult terrain.

Differentials on both axles (active central and electronic rear) make, together with other offroad improvement systems , a vehicle suitable for the most extreme and daring drivers.

New Land Rover Sail

It was already on the market before the Frankfurt Motor Show, but this year we also enjoyed the brand’s newest addition: the Land Rover Velar. It is a large-format SUV, with 4.80 meters in length.

Its powerful engines and its high level of equipment and finishes position it close to the Range Rover Sport. Surely it will take more than one sale and will start at € 60,250, it is € 9,000 more affordable than the cheapest Range Rover Sport.

From the Evoque to the Range Rover Sport, you can feel the essence of this legendary brand. Dare and discover paths where others see barriers.
