Citroën C4 Picasso, First Class Family Car

This is a minivan car, belonging to segment C and is produced by the French manufacturer Citroën since 2006. This car is the successor to the Citroën Xsara Picasso. The Citroën C4 Picasso is exclusively manufactured in Vigo, Spain.

The second generation is the one that is marketed today, and its rivals include the Volkswagen Touran, Opel Zafira, Kia Carens, SEAT Altea, Volkswagen Touran, Renault Scénic and many more in the segment.

Design

The new C4 Picasso measures 4.44 meters in length with a new front bumper, but maintains the horizontal chrome bars with the extension of the chevrons, the new grille is more rounded and streamlines the front of the car.

The new model has 17-inch alloy wheels of new design, the lighting also presents changes being new the headlights and lamps. At the rear, the changes are more discreet by placing the chrome trim in another position and the taillights show a 3D effect.

The great novelty for both versions is that it has multiple possibilities to customize, with three new tones for the bodywork: Lazuli Blue, Soft Sand and Cumulus Gray; now there is the possibility of combining the roof and mirrors in black and roof bars in gray for the Grand C4 Picasso.

A major aspect of the interior is the screen touch 12 inches around the center of the dashboard whose function is to be the panel of instrumentalization and just below this, the touch screen seven – inch multimedia.

Also, Citroën incorporated three new finishes that aim to make the cabin even more attractive. Wild Blue Ambience finish features blue accents; Dune Beige Ambiance , with gray fabric upholstery and lighter shades for the dashboard; finally, Hype Gray Ambiance , more elegant and luxurious, with mixed leather and fabric upholstery.

There are three trim levels called Live, Feel and Shine that allow you to customize the car with different combinations for the interior decoration: Wild Blue that includes front seats with massage function and folding passenger seat; Dune Beige with Lounge package including extendable footrest and headrest with more adjustment.

The latest Hype Gray incorporates blinds and reading lights in the rear seats; the equipment changes the range of colors and upholstery for the seats, improves the infotainment system now compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Mirror Link function.

In terms of safety and driving assistance, the C4 Picasso greatly expands its equipment. It incorporates elements such as: recognition of traffic signs, warning of involuntary lane change, warning of fatigue and attention, warning of blind spot, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking in the city and warning of risk of collision.

Motorization

In the case of this French minivan, it is equipped with gasoline and diesel engines. The gasoline section of the C4 Picasso is made up of a 1.2-liter PureTech of 110 or 130 hp and a 1.6-liter THP of 165 hp. The diesel blocks start with a 1.6 BlueHDI 100 or 120 hp and continue with a 2.0 Blue HDI 150 hp.

Regarding the cost of this car, it starts to be quoted from 23 150 to 29 850 euros in the gasoline versions. On the other hand, diesel models are around 24,850 to 32,000 euros.
