Audi RS5
The second generation of the Audi RS5 arrives in 2017 with its spirit intact since it was created in 2011. It is an excellent option if what you want is a high-performance grand tourer to go over 200 km / h on the autobahn German, and at the same time practical on a day-to-day basis.

Aggression and discretion
Aesthetically, the RS5 Coupé does not break the mold. Audi Sport engineers simply took it upon themselves to integrate the necessary improvements to the body and interior of a standard A5. The changes result in a more imposing front thanks to aggressive large air intakes to cool the propeller that it rides, and that are functional, from which others such as the Honda Civic Type R could already learn. The grill is exclusively designed for this version.
As for the side view, we find 20-inch low rims with widened wheel arches. Newly made side skirts and a gloss black finish are also available for the moldings, which are usually chrome-plated.
As for the rear, it is presented as a tailored suit made up of an almost imperceptible lip- type spoiler on the gate, and a bulging bumper accompanied by an aggressive diffuser with two generous exhaust outlets. Interestingly, the roof is now available in carbon fiber, a solution also offered by the BMW M4.
Very racing cabin
If we go into the cabin we are greeted by huge backet type seats with electric adjustment and massage function, while the dashboard now has elements available in aluminum, glossy black or carbon fiber. For its part, the steering wheel has its lower flattened area.
As in the latest brand launches under the leadership of the Audi Sport (S and RS) sports division, the digital instrument cluster has exclusive features aimed at enhancing the driving experience.
After its recent presentation and for a short period of time, the RS5 will only be available in a Coupé version. The arrival of the Cabriolet version is expected by 2020 at the latest, and the possibility of a new RS5 Sportback is also being considered, which should also become a reality within a maximum period of three years.
The V8 gives way to a V6 biturbo
In the mechanical section, the new RS5 Coupé is the second model in the range to make use of the new 2.9-liter 450 hp V6 biturbo, so it shares a power unit with the recently launched RS4 Avan.
These measurements speak of tremendous acceleration, as it achieves 0-100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km / h, optionally expandable to 280 km / h. In addition, to keep everything under control, the Quattro traction is the only option, while the transmission is provided by an 8-speed Tiptronic .
A perhaps excessive price
The most negative point of the new Audi sports car is undoubtedly its price. With a label that starts at 99,390 euros, it represents an increase of almost 15,000 euros compared to the first generation. Although the car is a correct evolution, it represents a large outlay that could well be devoted to a more balanced model.
If what you are looking for is a car that, despite all the performance that the RS5 provides, also shows its friendly face for a comfortable driving, perhaps the RS4 Avant is a more recommended option. The latter is more practical, has the same engine and there is a slight difference in price.
On the other hand, if the performance factor is the least important and what you are looking at is your pocket, the TT RS is still more recommended . More compact and shorter in axles, it has 400 hp and less weight, so it has an even sportier character (the sensations also count), and on top of that it costs 30,000 euros less.
