In Europe we are fortunate to have a first-rate road network, but not only for safety or good signage, but also for crossing dreamlike places, with good curves and landscapes worthy of a fictional movie. Today we wanted to bring you the best roads in Europe to enjoy behind the wheel.

5º The Ladder of the Trolls (Trollstigen), Norway

Situated in one of the most impressive countries in Europe, this is one of the best mountain roads, and it was named after one of the legends of widespread Scandinavian mythology.

The fact is that, apart from the supposed trolls that, according to legend, roamed the area, we find one of the most impressive roads of the old continent.

It is located in the Romsdal region and joins the towns of Andalsnes and Valldal. It has an average slope of 9%, making it a true mountain pass.

If you are at the controls of a good car, you will enjoy its 11 hairpin curves with an impressive drop. You will also be lucky to run into the Stigfossen waterfall : a wonder of nature with 300 meters of waterfall down a beautiful hillside.

4th Road B-500 (Black Forest), Germany

It is a route through the upper part of the Black Forest; one of the best roads in Europe that maintains its beauty thanks to the fact that it is as impressive as it is little known.

The route starts in Baden-Baden and ends in Freudenstadt. It is part of the National Highway B-500, with a total of 65 kilometers of steep curves and green landscapes to enjoy driving to the fullest.

From this route you can see wonders such as Lake Mummel, the Rhine Valley or the French mountains of the Vosges in the background. A gift for the senses, with a perfect asphalt to have a good time.

3rd Blakey Ridge, UK

Located in the North Yorkshire moors, this road is on the podium of the best roads in Europe. It runs from south to north through the North York Moors National Park and partly follows a former mining railway line.

Characterized by having some impressive sections of curves, this forgotten road hardly crosses populated areas. In addition, if you are a lover of the motor world, you can make a stop at the Croft circuit to complete a dream day.

2nd Road D526 and D926, The Alps, France

One of the greatest attractions of this beautiful road is that it is part of the Tour de France route ; a mountain pass with a mixture of hairpins, steep slope changes and overwhelming nature that will take you to the heart of the Alps.

1st Route of Transfăgărășan, Romania

Number one among the best roads in Europe is taken by this Romanian gem. A treat for the senses that you will not want to end.

We are facing the second highest paved road in Romania, with 90 kilometers of dangerous sections with sharp curves that run through the southern Carpathians. It is the link between the two highest peaks in the country: the Moldoveanu and the Negoiu.

On this beautiful journey we will be able to enjoy the Poienari Castle, with the context of the highway of terror that is breathed in the environment when connecting the regions of Wallachia and Transylvania.

This road became famous in 2009 when the charismatic Top Gear presenters enjoyed every meter of track with their impressive supercars, with which they thundered the Romanian mountains.
